Remove Members Completely
Hello,
When we terminate an employee, we want to remove their user profile from Lighthouse completely. How do we do this?
Thanks
Joe

User profiles are global. You can remove the user from having access to your account by making sure the checkboxes next to their name in Access and Permissions are all unchecked. This removes them from your projects and account.
If the user wanted to delete their profile, the could do so through their profile page. Only the user themselves can remove their profile or they can request we remove them.
Thanks,
Nicole

Hello Nicole,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
When we are terminating an employee, it's not likely that person is going to voluntarily remove their profile. And, they used a company email address to set up the profile, which we are also deleting/terminating.
What process do you recommend for administrators who want to remove a profile like this?
Thanks,
Joe

Their profile is global and only the user can delete it. The user may have signed up with a company email address, however, the Lighthouse profile doesn't have to send email to that address. The user could change it down the road.
If they are only using their Lighthouse profile for your account, it's really a non-issue. They won't be able to access the account once you remove them and since you're deactivating the email address they would get email to they would have to change it if they wanted to use their profile for another account.
Let me know if you still have questions.
Thanks,
Nicole

I suppose as long as the deactivated profile doesn't count against our limit, you are right.
It just feels a bit messy, from an HR standpoint for us to have created an account for someone, but, then be unable to remove it.
Thanks
Joe

It won't count against your account limits as long as the user is removed from your projects in Access and Permissions.
I understand how it appears messy in this instance, but global users allow for a single user to have one log in for many accounts. In theory, even though you've created your users they could be invited to http://foo.lighthouseapp.com and have access there as well.
Thanks,
Nicole
