Emails not being received?

Hi

I'm no longer receiving Lighthouse update emails on things I'm watching/involved in - I've checked in my Lighthouse account settings and it still definitely is set to send me emails, but I'm just not receiving them. I used to get them with no problems.

I've checked with IT and they're not getting blocked by the spam filter (and just in case, we've made sure the Lighthouseapp.com domain is whitelisted).

One of my colleagues in another country (Germany) contacted Lighthouse and said something about "Our mail server has sent a "hard bounce" to lighthouse which deactivated the mail-sending. The error message was "action: failed". And they reactivated my account so I can receive mail again."

Could this same issue be the problem on mine?

If so, how do I solve this?

    Hey Karen, I'm not seeing any records for [email blocked] in our system. What is the URL of your Lighthouse account?

    Also, when did you stop receiving the emails?

    I can't be sure of the exact time that I stopped receiving them, but it must be a good 2 or 3 months ago now.

    This address is the one registered on the Lighthouse account.

     https://theplant.lighthouseapp.com/projects/18933-asics/overview is the project website... I think that's what you're asking for?

    I recall your colleagues hard bounce issue. It doesn't look as if yours is related.

    We're still investigating. So far, I've been unable to find records of outgoing email to your address, and there is just one incoming from April.

    I tend not to keep the Lighthouse emails as they're just reminders for me to go to the site really, but the last one I did bother to keep appears to be 05/20/10 @ 3.34am (our developers are in Japan, I'm in the UK, so there's usually a crazy time difference!) so that's the last definite message I had (though it's entirely possible I've had them since then and just deleted them)... I can forward that email if it helps?

    Thats fine, no need to forward it. There are a lot of emails incoming and outgoing from Lighthouse, so I was looking to see if there was something on our end that would have caused it to stop.

    So far, I'm coming up short on finding anything on our side, but I'm not even seeing notifications being sent to that email at all, so I'm working to dig a bit deeper and see why that is.

    We're still working on it. Is it possible to change your email address to something else for the short term for us to test whether the new address receives email?

    I've just done a test ticket with that address set up, and it appears to
    work fine!

    That does imply that the problem is my end, but you guys said that you
    couldn't find any record of the emails going out from your system to my
    email address, so does that mean it's your end??

    We'll need to dig deeper to figure this one out, but for the time being if you're getting your email that's the best solution we have. If we do track the issue back to being on your end we'll let you know and if not, we'll let you know when you can revert your email back to the company one.
