State
It seems that we have the ticket state of New and Open but you can't query them independently? We want to be able to assign tickets to people with a new state and be able to query each week the tickets that are still new and the tickets that they have opened (and started working on). how can we do this?

Hey Michael, you can add 'state:new' or 'state:open' to any query.

I think I figured it out and have had to change the State “open” to “inprogress”
What you are suggesting doesn’t work because if you query “State:open” it also returns New tickets because they belong in the overall Open vs Closed buckets… I didn’t know we could change those but I think changing that will work. FYI, I would suggest your default be inprogress vs open so people using this don’t run into the same problem. Correct me if I’m missing something please.
