reports and automated daily status (summary) emails
Is there any reports available (visualizations) ? Is there any way of sending daily status (summary) emails #of open defects.. closed.. new .. upcoming milestones etc?

We don't currently have such a feature inside Lighthouse.
http://github.com/Caged/lighthouse-digest/tree/master comes to mind as a possible solution though. It's open source, so contribution to it would leave you with some pretty advanced Lighthouse digest emails.
You could also use the API.
