They'd have to
do weird queries like
state:open not-state:new
to get
just open tickets, for instance. Try using

state:open!

Ricktag:help.lighthouseapp.com,2008-09-20:Comment/733372009-02-17T18:11:06Z2009-02-17T18:11:06Z"open" states not respected in search

Thanks Rick... open! works fine. Perhaps existing ticket bins
should be automatically changed so that people don't have to
manually edit them?

Leigh Caplantag:help.lighthouseapp.com,2008-09-20:Comment/733372009-02-17T18:14:52Z2009-02-17T18:14:52Z"open" states not respected in search

Yes you are correct. I didn't really mean to deploy this change
until I had the blog post ready, the FAQ updated, and all the
existing bins switched over. So, expect all that to happen today...
after this database slowness stuff is taken care of.

Ricktag:help.lighthouseapp.com,2008-09-20:Comment/733372009-02-19T20:04:46Z2009-02-19T20:04:46Z"open" states not respected in search

We're actually reverting back to the original

state:open
search criteria and removing

state:open!
for the time being. It was not an intended
deployment on our part and is causing a number of issues with other
users. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Will Duncan
