Notification API

I am working on an app using the lighthouse API.

Is there a way to get notified of changes outside of email (ideally a callback mechanism) so that for example when a new ticket is created, or a ticket updated my app would know and then be able to call the lighthouse API to get the details?

I don't want to be polling the lighthouse API.

Why yes there is. It's still private and experimental, but you can play around with it. As I said there, we still may throttle the number of callbacks allowed per Lighthouse account based on Plan. It's being used now in Tender though, so it works and shouldn't change that drastically.

This could be useful - we are seeing HTTP errors when we send several calls to the API too quickly, at the moment we have to add a short delay between each call.

Forgive me if I'm doing something stupid, but I was able to set my callback to a PHP script on my server that dumps anything POSTed to a txt file, although I don't seem to be getting anything when I update my lighthouse project. Am I missing something obvious?

    Max -

Can you post your script and we'll see if we can help you troubleshoot the issue.

Sorry, I believe it's working now. Perhaps it just took a while for the callbacks to start once registered? One more question - is there a way to delete callback entries? I have two registered (had to switch servers) although eventually I will need to register a non-testing machine and delete my first two callbacks.

Just access it with the DELETE method.

    DELETE /callbacks/123
    curl -X DELETE
