Look for committers and not authors in automatic ticket updates
Hi,
I think that this may in fact be on github's side, but currently, when an automatic ticket update is made, e.g. by using [#519 state:resolved] in the ticket, if you are the author, and you've correctly set "Committer Names" in your profile, it will work as expected. However, if the author is a third person and you are the committer, the author will be used to try to retrieve the name of the one who is updating the ticket, when really it's the committer that is making this action.
Since usually in these cases the author may not even have a lighthouse account, even less set the correct "Committer Names", the correct tracking will be lost, and the default account owner will appear. See for example the last change in http://ubiquo.lighthouseapp.com/projects/27683/tickets/519-add-hide... where the reported author is neither the author nor the committer.

Bernat -
We're trying to sort this out. Is the author (csaura) of the commit you linked to above a member of your account?
Let us know and we'll continue troubleshooting.
Thanks,
Nicole

Hi,
His lighthouse account is http://ubiquo.lighthouseapp.com/users/86387, is that what you mean? I don't think he has set the committer names in his profile. But I was reporting this ticket only as an example, since in this case, I think that the most appropiate person to be the "ticket updater" is the committer (me) and not the author of the commit.
Cheers,
Bernat

Sending the author versus the committer information is on Github, but if a user doesn't have their committer name set in their Lighthouse user profile it will revert to posting under whoever created the token being used in Github.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Nicole
