Custom Fields
I've noticed several requests for this feature in the forums. I'll add my vote and user case:
I just need one custom field where I can record the date or build number, or repository version that represents the state of my code base when we pushed it to production. Sure, I can use tags, but we push to production many times each week and I don't want to create several hundred tags each week.
I'd prefer to bulk edit all resolved issues that are pushed to put them into a closed state (can do that now) AND add a build number to a custom "build number" field. I would then want to be able to sort my "closed" milestone by this custom field so I can see:
- What got pushed to production and when
- What things were all part of the same production push

Mike -
We don't plan on adding custom fields to Lighthouse any time soon. There have been a few requests, but not much compelling evidence that it's essential for enough Lighthouse users. Most people get by with tags. In the scenario you're suggesting, you could bulk edit the ticket to the closed state and bulk add the final "build number" as a tag.
Thanks,
Nicole

Thanks Nicole,
I will spend some time to see how I can manage on the order of 200 build tags each year in Lighthouse. Otherwise, I'm a big fan of all that you guys are doing.
