Splitting a milestone in two

Hello. I have a milestone with too many tickets in it, and I want to split this milestone into two. I've already sorted the milestone into priority order. I want to put the bottom half of the tickets into a new milestone. What's the easiest way to do this?

I tried to do this with a Bulk Edit but I couldn't write a query that let me easily select everything. I tried
milestone:"Bug fix - phase 1" state:open sort:milestone-priority
but it didn't do the sort correctly.

Thanks.

Can you explain how the sort is incorrect? Try removing the state:open from the search and see if that makes a difference.

    Let me know.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm attaching a screenshot of what happens when I run the search
    milestone:"Bug fix - phase 1" state:open sort:milestone-priority

You can see that the tickets are just sorted by Milestone then ID, rather than by milestone priority.

Removing state:open, making the search term:
    milestone:"Bug fix - phase 1" sort:milestone-priority
has no effect, other than showing non-open bugs too. My second screenshot shows the result.

    Thanks,
    Ian.

Try milestone:your-milestone state:open sort:priority and let me know what you get.

    Thanks,

Thanks. That seems to almost work - screenshot attached. It's good enough for me to now do what I want, anyway, so thanks for that.

The only oddness is that the Assigned To field isn't sorted first - I'd have expected to get all of person 1's tickets, then all of person 2's, etc, rather than a random sprinkling.

Still, it lets me do what I need to do, so thanks very much!
    Ian.
