Dynamic "new ticket" button
The UI change today helps with this, but I can't tell you how many times I've clicked the giant gray "NEW" button while viewing messages, intending to add a new message, only to find (usually after I've spent 10 minutes writing and attaching a file) that I've created a ticket. Would be nice to have that button change by section.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

That link is so you can create a ticket from any page. We don't really want to change it depending on what context you're in, it defeats the purpose of it.
