Custom Fields
I know that this has been discussed but I would like to re-open the discussion and push for this again.
I would love to have a field for a reference link. I get issues reported from many sources - web, email, forums, phone, etc. and it would be extremely useful to be able to have a dedicated field to record this.
Tags are simply not sufficient because each reference would be a separate tag, polluting the tag cloud -- and each reference would only be used once -- simply not practical.
And to put it into the comments is not sufficient as it should be something that can be listed and easily search/sorted.
