about how Tender because what it is because of Lighthouse.

Lighthouse is a ticket / bug tracker, and Tender Support is a
help desk.

In the beginning there was just Lighthouse you opened up your
project so the public could submit tickets and notify you of issues
and you and your team could work on them. But then users / clients
started cramping good workflow practices. The inside of a
Lighthouse project looked more like World War III vs a bug tracker.
So we were learning that Lighthouse was not the best support tool.
Smaller teams and specific workflows was working much better. Out
of that, we grew Tender Support.

Tender Support started as a forum with a special plugin that
users could submit and only moderators and that user could see that
discussion. Then it got a super crazy email system, and eventually
grew into it's own product as a help desk with some pretty nifty
email and faq integrations.

So the main concept is you handle support and discussions in
Tender, which has Lighthouse integration, so you can make and
assign the tickets you actually need into Lighthouse very easily,
keeping you workflow clean.

whew

Sorry for the long-winded answer. I get a little carried
away.

Will Duncantag:help.lighthouseapp.com,2008-09-20:Comment/4620532009-10-15T16:05:57Z2009-10-15T16:05:57ZThe dumbest question on earth

Thank you very much for the explanation.

Francesco Maida
