Email Users when a Ticket is Opened

Is it possible to have the system automatically email the responsible person when a ticket is opened? IT would be nice for the user to know he/she has been assigned a ticket w/o them having to log in to the site.

    Yes, that is the standard behavior. However, user's control their own notifications, so if they've turned notifications off they wouldn't get them of course. Let us know if you have any questions.
