milestone sort order?

Can someone explain to me the milestone sort order when I look at all the project's milestones? Looks like it's by ascending date, but those wthout a date are first (which is probably the natural database sort order).

For me, milestones /with/ dates are much more important than those without. How about moving dates ones /before/ undated? I guess I can just assign arbitrary dates to milestones to get the order I want.

Also, I have one milestone that appears first, on its own, and then all the rest are below it in a section called 'upcoming milestones'. Why is that one separate? I can't figure out what's diffrent about it.

Thanks...

In my system, the one by itself is the Milestone without a date.

It looks like those are purposefully placed up there since there is a header called 'Upcoming Milestones' that separates them. So, I doubt they are just dumping out the default database sort order.

They do give you the 'next milestone' tab (at the top) and progress bar (in the sidebar), but on the Milestone tab, it would be nice if unscheduled Milestones appeared below the others. But that is mine and your preference, maybe there are others that like it this way. ;)

Also, just a tip, I created 'Ticket Bins' (custom, saved searches) for my Milestones so they show up in the sidebar with a ticket count beside them. You can sort that list in any manner you see fit. That may help you in the meantime.

it would be nice to be able to reorder/prioritize undated milestones.

Agreed. This is frustrating. I'll create milestones for buckets of tasks for dates in the far future, but they show up first. Can we please have milestones with priority show up first, or some option to control it?
