There is information about it in the knowledgebase, but it isn't very clear via the interface.

We are currently trying out Lighthouse, are Priorities not enabled for the 14 day free trial? How do we know if we would like the way it works?

Priorities are enabled for the Trial, but if you've gone ahead and selected a plan then you'd be restricted to the limits of that plan.

You're currently on the Free plan. Priority state is only available on Bronze plan or higher. I've bumped your account to the Bronze plan for the remainder of your trial. You'll be able to turn on priorities for your account by going to "Settings & Payments", clicking "Enable priorities" and then clicking "Save Settings".

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

How do I sort by priority? I see I can set it, and it changes the colors when I look at all the tickets, but would like to be able to sort by high to low.

    Aaron -

We offer priority sort within milestones, but you can only have one priority style on your account. So either priority state, which is applicable to all tickets across all projects, or priority sort, which is available to all projects but limited to sorting within a milestone.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

So, I am not sure I fully understand. We do not want to use milestones, we
only want to track bugs and be able to sort them by priority. How could I
enable this to sort the bugs, but not have to put in milestones...?

You can create your own search queries. The sort options are listed at the bottom of the page, but it sounds like sort:priority would be what you're looking for.

Thank you - is there anyway to store that search so that it is always the
default display. Basically, I want to have members of our team be able to
come to Lighthouse, and see the list of tickets. I want them to see the
    highest priority tickets by default.

Is this possible, or do people have to enter "sort:priority" in the find
tickets search box every-time they go to Lighthouse to see it this way?
