Sorry, the OpenID server couldn't be found
When I try to use OpenID I always get this error:
Sorry, the OpenID server couldn't be found
My OpenID is http://alvaro.es and the server is definitively on-line (I can log into other sites). My server is running SimpleID 0.7.5 in case it matters. My logs show that there actual connection attempts from:
184.73.201.0, ec2-184-73-201-0.compute-1.amazonaws.com
What can the problem be?

You need to set your OpenID on your user profile. Once you do that it should be fine. Your user profile login is your email address until you've been able to update it with your OpenID.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Nicole

I forgot to mention that I was getting the same error message in both places: the login form and the "Manage Profile" page (once logged in with my good old regular account).
I've just tried the second option once more and I no longer get such error. Instead, when I click on "Save Open ID Information" nothing appears to happen: no error messages and no feedback :-?
