I am unable to remove my profile picture. I select the "remove current picture" link (which provides no feedback), then I select the "SAVE PROFILE" button, but the profile image sometimes remains, randomly (just as it does when the picture is there; see issue #2205).

I am running Windows Vista and with the following browsers, your system seems to think that it removed the profile picture, as the "remove current picture" link is removed:

Chrome 10.0.642.2 dev
IE8 8.0.6001.18999

With the following browsers, your system does not seem to think that the profile picture has been removed, as the "remove current picture" link remains after I save the edits refresh the page:

FireFox 3.6.13
Safari 5.0.1 (7533.17.8)
Opera 10.53

    Daniel -

To remove an image you only have to click the "Remove current picture" for the change to take affect. It's only uploading that requires you to save your profile to make the change.

The "Remove current picture" link is only present until the page is refreshed after you have removed your picture. I've checked the behavior in the browsers you listed above and in each case refreshing after removing the picture was consistent. We're working an improved UI and this misleading bit will be handled in that improvement.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    NIcole

Okay, I see that the "SAVE PROFILE" button is unrelated, but the "Remove current picture" doesn't work for the browsers I originally listed.
